story about athlete and his father

His name was Derek Redmond, a British Olympic athlete runner. His fondest dream is to earn an olympic medal, medal-any-.  Actually Derek  has participated in the event before the Olympics, in 1988 in Korea. But unfortunately some time before the match, he was injured and unable to participate. Inevitably, the Olympics, is the best chance to realize his dream. This is the proof, to get a medal in the rarely run 400 meters. Because he and his father have been training very hard for this.

The start of the race to sign the gun sounds. Rigorous training is undertaken Derek Redmond, makes it immediately excel beyond his opponents. He quickly had the lead up to 225 meters. Means less 175 meters again. Yes, less than a minute he had dreamed it to get a medal for this. But no one imagined when actually at its peak performance, when he was leading the race, he suddenly suffered an injury. Suddenly in the 225 meters, a rising excruciating pain in his right leg. With pain, as the leg had been shot a bullet. And like those who shot in the leg, Derek Redmond became crippled. All he did was jump up and down his left leg resting on a small, slow down, then fall down on the ground. Pain in his leg had been dropped.

Derek realized his dream of obtaining a medal in the Olympics vanished. Seeing his son in trouble, his father  who  was in the stands, without thinking he immediately ran down the stands. No matter how he hit and stepped on so many people. For him the important thing was that he had to help her  son immediately.

On the ground, Derek Redmond realizes that his dream of winning an Olympic vanished. This was the second time he raced in the Olympics, and all of them failed because of his injury. But the soul is not the soul of a quitter. When the medical team came with a stretcher, he said, "I'm not going to ride the chair, however, I have to finish this race," he said.

Derek was then slowly raised his own feet. Very slowly anyway, while holding the pain at his feet, he walked very slowly limping. The medical team thought that Derek would like to walk alone to the edge of the field, but they are wrong. Derek wanted to go to the finish line.

At the same time anyway Jim, father Derek was up in the stands below. He immediately jumped the fence and ran past the guards to the son who runs completed the race with a hobbled in pain. To the guards he simply said, "That's my son, and I will help him!"

Finally, less than 120 meters from the finish line, the father had arrived at Derek who refused to give up. Derek still limping hobble very confident. Father was embracing and bolster Derek. He hang up his arm to the shoulder.

"I'm here boy", she said softly, hugging her child, "and we will finish this race together.

Father and the child, with arms around each other, finally reached the finish line. A few steps from the finish line, his father, Jim, releasing Derek rangkulannya of his son in order to pass the finish line alone. And then, before he embraced his son again.

Sixty-five thousand pairs of eyes watching them, encourage them, cheering clapping, and some cried. Father and son scene as it is now more important than who the winner of the race.

Derek Redmond did not get a medal, even he was disqualified from the race. But look at his father's comments.

"I am the most proud father of the world!, I'm more proud of him now than when he got the gold medal."

Two years after the running race, the surgeon told Derek that Derek will no longer be able to represent his country in a sport competition.

But do you know what happened?

Again, with the encouragement of his father, Derek finally distract him. He also pursue the world of basketball, and eventually became part of the United Kingdom team basketball. Dikiriminya picture of him with a basketball team that had sentenced him to the doctor will not represent the country in a sport competition.

If a mother's love, is to protect us from the dark world, the love of a father is encouraging us to take control of the world. A father will always support and motivate people to support, and we membersamai under any circumstances. Father also who will shout us to get up and bolster us up to the finish line. Because they do not want us to give up on the state, as he demonstrated.

A story of Job Application Writing Test

The story I get on facebook status of one my friends. I was so inspirational, I moved to immediately write and present for other peopel. one time in Indonesia, there is a company that does recruiting for a position. The company is a large company and popular in Indonesia. Applicants for this position is about the 2000s. But only one person who finally accepted to work there.

In the recruitment process, the company gives a written test. The contents of the written test, is a case to be answered by prospective employees. Here's the case in the written test.

from about  2000s applicants & answers, only one reply is received, the person just write briefly:

"I will give my bike lock to the doctor and tell him to bring the old grandmother to be helped immediately. While I  will living there with my special girl for waiting for public transportation."

And this person accepted and immediately got smart & brilliant qualifying employee.

from this story the lessons can I learn is that we can do a nice job efficiency. The requirement is we want to sacrifice more to get something bigger.
